Can you help me build a new app or website?

We primarily help established apps or SaaS products scale when they’ve found product market fit. Once a company goes from a product MVP to ‘oh, this is working and making money, and now I need to find ways to grow and protect it’, then they’ve entered our ‘perfect customer’ category. There are plenty of fine agencies out there that you can contract for an MVP, but our best skills lie in our ability to untangle legacy code.

Why should I work with you versus my in-house developers?

Generally speaking, the reason company run into scaling issues to begin with is due to a lack of planning around code and feature delivery. Sometimes this is a strategy - build the smallest thing possible as fast as possible and get it in front of customers - but the same engineers you hired to move fast and break things might need a little help shifting gears once you move into ‘keep stable and reliable’ mode. When we work with your team we are able to shine a light on blind spots your team might be unaware of after working in a particular way for many years, and your team helps us understand valuable context so that we can safely make application, database, or architectural changes to help you grow.

Can you work with distributed teams?

The era of remote work truly shifted in 2020 and beyond, and most companies and consultancies have shifted to working with teams across different timezones. Our founder has a GitLab certification for managing remote teams, and every member of YGG has been trained on effective asynchronous communication for remote work based on this certification.
